Surf Life Saving is about satisfaction. Having fun, being physically fit, teamwork, aquatic safety skills, competitions, helping make surfing a safer pastime and doing a vital job and doing it well. Surf Life Saving offers a range of awards to its members and the community.Surf Life Saving can offer a range of opportunities which will promote:

  • A healthy lifestyle
  • Develop a sense of pride
  • Develop a sense of responsibility and purpose and
  • Foster positive social relationships.

There is certainly a place for everyone in surf lifesaving. If you are unable to perform the duties of an active surf lifesaver, then perhaps your assistance in the administration, communications or fundraising areas is for you.

By gaining some basic awards such as your Radio Operators you can assist with patrol observation and communication duties without having to perform water based rescues.

You may simply want to be involved at a lower level by showing your support for the good work that the many thousand volunteer surf lifesavers do each your by joining as an associate member.

If you are looking for a way to entertain your children during the summer season then why don't you join them up in our Junior Activity Program (Junior Lifesavers). Sign on days generally commence around September each year. The Junior Activities Program is for children aged between 5 and 13 years.

Membership of Surf Life Saving is open to anybody regardless of age, race, colour, religion or sex. Surf Life Saving is well recognised in the community due to it's uniqueness as a vital community service and a high profile competition sport. A Surf Life Saving Club is a place where people from all walks of life can unite with a common goal "to save lives".
