Our main facility is at the northern end of Kings Beach on Spender Lane while our operations facility and junior clubrooms are on Ormonde Tce in the centre of the beach. The Metropolitan Caloundra Surf Life Saving Club was formed in 1924, being originally named "Metropolitan Life Saving Club". The club patrolled Ocean Beach, Bribie Island while also carrying out patrols during Christmas and New Years at Kings Beach (Caloundra), Dicky Beach (North Caloundra) and Coolum Beach. In June 1933, the club transferred its activities to Caloundra to carry out the patrolling of Kings Beach – he first official patrol was commenced on the 7th of October 1933. Our members perform voluntary patrols on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays from September through until late April.
